Finally, we are reopening so you can see the entire magnificent, mysterious Villa Montezuma Museum! The museum will be open to the public for tours on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.      The first tour begins at 1:00 p.m. and the last tour begins at  4:00 p.m. Admission cost:

  1. -Adults: $15

  2. -Active Duty Military, Seniors 65+, and students with ID: $12

  3. -Children age 6 -12: $7

  4. -Children 5 and under: free with a paid adult


Due to the ongoing pandemic, please reserve your time slot via texting us at 619-233-8833. For the soft reopening, as we get all processes in place, please pay bring cash to pay for your admission. In California any unvaccinated person should wear a mask. Our docents have all been vaccinated.


Walking Tours of Sherman Heights

Learn more about the Villa and the Sherman Heights Historic District by taking a two-hour historical and architectural walking tour of Jesse Shepard’s neighborhood. You’ll see the exteriors of the original Sherman farmhouse and the mansion that Mayor Sherman built. You’ll learn how the growth of San Diego and of Sherman Heights are related. You’ll understand why our historic district’s period of significance is 1868 - 1930.


Regular walking tours will be scheduled in Spring 2022. We can conduct a walking tour for your group of 8 or more people. Contact us if you have a group that would like to schedule a walk. Cost is $20 per person.
